Carborea is the ideal choice for companies looking for a solid partner for CO2 offsetting. We provide a rigorous and transparent approach, actively contributing to the revival of Salento after the Xylella outbreak.
Our mission is to make companies protagonists of a project with local and social impact, supporting sustainable agricultural innovation and tracing a clear path towards carbon neutrality.
Choosing Carborea means embracing a tangible commitment to environmental, economic, and social sustainability, leaving a positive footprint in Italy, in the heart of Salento.
THE PROCESS
Certified by strict international standards
Our methodology for calculating, monitoring, and verifying greenhouse gas reductions in agricultural contexts (GHG) is certified by RINA and complies with the principles and requirements on methodologies present in ISO 14064-2, good agricultural-forestry practices, and LIFE C-Farms, Verra VM0042 v2.0, CDM's AR-AMS0007 v3.1 standards, IPCC Guidelines (2006).
Monitoring
The monitoring of olive trees takes place both through periodic satellite surveys (carried out by Google Earth Engine) and through on-site visits. This ensures the well-being of the plants and the effective absorption of CO2.
Report
The absorbed CO2 is quantified and recorded on Blockchain, then a conversion report into Carbon Credits is generated.
Offsetting
Companies can offset their carbon debt by purchasing credits generated from new olive tree plantations.
Attestation
The operation is recorded on Blockchain and a CO2 Compensation Certificate is issued with the registration number, the Company name, and the reasons.
PROTECTION AND TRANSPARENCY
Everything recorded
on Blockchain
All transactions involving our credits are recorded on Blockchain.
The blockchain guarantees the authenticity, immutability, and transparency of transactions, providing accurate and reliable data on the origin and characteristics of the carbon credits purchased and the projects that generated them.
That is why all our operations—from carbon credit generation to transfer and offsetting—are recorded on Blockchain, as is the certificate issued following the offset.

What are carbon credits?
Carbon credits are units of measurement used to quantify and offset greenhouse gas emissions, such as CO2, in the atmosphere. These credits represent the reduction or removal of one metric ton of greenhouse gases through emission reduction or reforestation projects.
Carbon credits are a fundamental tool for companies committed to reducing their environmental impact and transitioning towards a more sustainable economy. By using carbon credits, companies can offset their carbon emissions through reforestation, energy efficiency, or renewable energy projects, thus contributing to the fight against climate change and the achievement of corporate sustainability goals and SDGs.
What makes Carborea's carbon credits different?
Carborea's carbon credits stand out for their superior quality compared to others for several key reasons:
Our carbon credits are certified by recognized international bodies and organizations, ensuring authenticity and compliance with the highest quality standards. We use advanced technologies like blockchain to ensure complete traceability of every carbon credit, ensuring transparency and reliability.
Carborea's carbon credits derive from reforestation projects and adoption of sustainable agricultural practices in Salento, contributing to CO2 emission reduction, regeneration of olive groves destroyed by the Xylella bacterium, and restoration of local biodiversity.
Our monitoring and verification (MRV) process is extremely rigorous, using technologies such as satellite surveys to ensure the accuracy of carbon offset initiatives. We provide reliable and transparent data on every carbon credit generated.
Carborea promotes environmental and social sustainability in Salento and beyond. In addition to offsetting companies' carbon emissions, we work to regenerate the landscape, support local communities, and protect the environment for future generations.
Thanks to these elements, Carborea's carbon credits represent a reliable and high-quality choice for companies seeking to reduce their environmental impact and contribute to the fight against climate change, ensuring a positive impact on the planet and local communities.
What are sustainability projects for companies?
Sustainability projects for companies are initiatives designed to integrate environmental, social, and economic sustainability principles into daily activities and business processes. These projects aim to reduce the company's negative impact on the environment and society, while simultaneously promoting sustainable economic growth and corporate social responsibility.
Sustainability projects for companies are essential to address global challenges such as climate change, poverty, and social inequality. Companies that undertake these projects create long-term value for the company itself and for society as a whole.
What is a sustainability report?
A sustainability report is a reporting tool used by companies to assess and communicate their performance in terms of environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
These reports provide an integrated overview of the impacts of business activities on issues such as climate change, corporate social responsibility, natural resource management, employee health and safety, and more.
In essence, the sustainability report expands the traditional focus on companies' economic and financial performance, including indicators and information related to non-financial impacts.
