Carborea was born as a spin-off of the Olivami Association, the first association committed to combating desertification caused by the devastating spread of Xylella in Salento.
With Olivami, we give everyone (companies, entities, and families) the opportunity to adopt one or more olive trees remotely, follow their growth, receive the produced oil, and thus support the farmers planting new olive trees. In particular, we offer companies the possibility to create a corporate olive grove.
The contributions we collect through adoptions are used to purchase new olive trees that we donate to small olive growers, thus initiating the reforestation of Salento.

The Olivami Association was founded in 2022 and we immediately received a great response, both from individuals and companies.
Companies from various sectors (banking, pharmaceutical, distribution, production, medical, tourism...) embrace our cause and actively contribute to our project of territorial rebirth.

To meet the growing demand for emission offsetting through Italian projects, we are developing a methodology capable of calculating the amount of CO2 absorbed by new olive trees in Salento and the application of sustainable agricultural practices.
